Newport

Newport can be found between the Ferry port of Fishguard and the market town of Cardigan. Originally a busy port it is situated beneath the last and largest of the Preseli range, Carn Ingli or Mount of the Angels. The town is built on an estuary and benefits from a number of natural beauties including the sands that form one flank.

Newport is compact but you will be able to find almost anything you need. The Spar shop is open each day from 8.00am until 10.00pm. There is a good Deli, a health food shop, a wet fish shop, butchers, chemist, Post Office, Havard Ironmongers in East street has a vast range of goods including many things you didn’t even know you needed. There are many good restaurants, including The Golden Lion, Llys Meddyg and Vic North and somewhere to hire bikes.

Parrog

Parrog runs along the sea front and is a highly sought after area for families with children who want to take advantage of the sea and the town. Newport boasts facilities one expects from a small town, including some excellent restaurants shops and pubs. For golfers there is a 9 hole golf course just behind the sands and for sailors the local boat club provides monthly membership and competitive racing in the bay during the Summer.

Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is an unspoilt area of West Wales renowned for its natural beauty. It's the perfect location for those who enjoy walking or climbing and ideal for families who look for the pleasures of the sea without having to do battle for the deck chairs. Those who come generally return year after year and generation after generation.

Mariners Cottage is situated on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The route has a fabulous array of coastal flowers and bird life with breathtaking views from sheltered coves to open sands.
