Self-catering holiday accommodation on the Pembrokeshire coast

Dog friendly barn conversion in Newport, Wales | Sleeps 6

Mariners Holiday Cottage has been in our family since 1930. Originally the property was cattle shed and brew house for the public house which was situated where the boat shed and adjacent wall is located. It is one of the oldest buildings in the area and was apparently built from stones gathered from the beach.

The cottage is located on the Pembrokeshire coastal path in the Welsh town of Newport and provides self catering accommodation for up to 6 people. The town is small but has a good selection of shops and several restaurants.

The Accommodation

The accommodation comprises three bedrooms, a lounge/diner, kitchen and bathroom.

Lounge/diner

This is a cosy room which features a large Charnwood log burner, antique Welsh dresser with novelty china ornaments and some books and a large comfy sofa with Welsh blanket cover. Underneath the original Mariners name plaque the window has fabulous sea views. In front of the window is a dining table with 4 chairs where you can sit and enjoy the view as you eat. Original features include exposed stone walls and natural stone flooring with rug. Two skylight windows allow plenty of natural light into the room.
